The purpose of this blog is to catalog and keep track of my skills as an artist and to see what it takes to be a working artist in this industry. So im going to post some cool stuff, whether it be my work or stuff i just may find interesting and helpful. Lets see what happens aye?

Aladdin Palace BTS
Here is the customary BTS post for the Palace video. Another glimpse into what it takes to get a result.
Aladdin Palace
So here we are adding another project to the blog. This one is a 3d rendition of the palace from Aladdin, another solo project.
Lets just say i really like this film.
The link for the rendered video is here:

Cottage BTS
So here are some of the rendered layers used in the composite for the cottage post. A small glimpse into the work that goes into a project? I think so.
First art post! The Cottage
This set of images belong to an environmental piece i did last year. This is a complete solo project, i saw a cool piece of concept art for the building (from Fable 2 i believe) so i decided to add it in.
The video render can be seen here:

Starting out
So here we are, finally decided to get started on this blog thing. Lets be honest, the pros and cons of blogs have been well documented in the past, or at least im assumingso, ive never had a look.
But as i sit here, thinking about what to do next, i figured to start one out, hopefully i can at least use it as a case study and see where im going and where i have been.
So here i am in a precarious situation, where im occasionally employed. Not in the 3d industry but in the corporate video industry, some may say freelance, i say occasionally rich (but not really).
Having just completed (dec 2012) a 3d animation course at AIE here in Sydney (with the power of google you shall find it) im now in the position every artist finds themselves in, where you cant find a job. And with the sudden change in industry, being a recent graduate/freelance, really isnt the best situation to be in.
So what im going to do is over the coming lifespan of this blog, i will add anything from my current works in progress, finished art, or even whatever cool render i end up with.
So lets see what happens, yes?
till next time!
